June 26 Track Conditions

As of 2:30 pm the track is in excellent shape as you can see by the photo below. We have had a shower this morning of about 1/8 in of rain and have not had any rain since. If we do have to cancel we will do so by 4:00 pm. If we have not canceled by 4:00 pm we will be racing rain or shine. Any last minuite questions call me at 518-441-7299.

This is an issue that we all need to be aware of and we need to take action. I have compiled some information to explain the situation and a means for everyone to help get this rule changed.

2009 Open Practice

As in previous years, we will be offering a season practice pass for $400.

This year there will also be a bonus. Each rider will receive a practice card. After 6 paid practices the rider will receive their 7th practice free. A new card will be issued and the offer will repeat.

2009 Nightcross Season

We are going to be alternating special races throughout the season.

We will be having youth premier classes or “fun” races each Friday night. The youth premier class will be treated like experts on their night. They will have a three moto format, racing at 8:15, 9:15 and 10:15. Payback will be 1 for 3 but the first place winner will receive a 5 foot trophy. There will also be a holeshot award for each of the three motos. Check the schedule to see when your class will be racing.

The weeks that we don’t have a youth premier class scheduled we will be having a fun race. Rules for the fun races, or lack there of, will be posted on the news page durring the season.

NE Grand Prix Series

Jim Simmons, Fred Mang, Al Morgan and Rich Bristol invite you to enjoy, new in 2008, The Northeast Championship Grand Prix Series. This seven race scramble series, sponsored by Moose Racing and Scott Goggles has been created by and will be hosted at Thunder Ridge Sports in South Edmeston, New York, Twister Valley Sports in Fort Plain, New York and Moto Masters in Mexico, NY.

What is The Northeast Championship Grand Prix Series?

This Grand Prix Series will encompass woods and open fields with both natural and man-made obstacles. Each course will be three to five miles in length and will be as demanding as any local off road series. Riders will spend thirty to forty minutes on the course during each race. There will be motorcycle, quad and youth classes. Engine displacement classes and age classes will be run separately allowing racers to sign up for more than one class during each day of competition.
